FAMILY HISTORY

Much of Billy Murray's family history has been undocumented by many of his biographers, and since the majority of the Murray family possessions were destroyed in a fire in 1957, the genealogy and family history presented here is literally a reconstruction.

Murray himself had no children of his own (other than two stepsons), but the legend that he had no surviving relatives is incorrect. Two of his four siblings had married (one produced a child), and there are also descendants of all three of Murray's wives.

Here, you can learn about more about Billy Murray's parents and siblings. This section will later be revised to include information on his three marriages.
