LABEL GALLERY

Grey Gull is one of the rarest labels released during Murray's freelance period from 1919 to 1920. It would later become one of the largest and cheapest manufacturers of phonograph records in the United States, only second to the Plaza Music Company. These early releases of Murray were vertically-cut, with two songs on each side. They were later reissued on lateral-cut records, with one song on each side. Ryan Barna Collection.
