LABEL GALLERY

Central was a very rare label produced by the International Record Company. This issue contains Murray's rendition of George M. Cohan's hit from 1906. Other title variations include "The Grand Old Rag," or as shown here, "You’re a Grand Old Rag." The title was later changed to "You're a Grand Old Flag," since the public objected to the idea of calling the American flag a "rag." Ryan Barna Collection.
